What is ComeAlong?
ComeAlong lets you post a low-pressure invite — a time, a place, and what you’re doing — to a trusted circle (your kid’s class, your dog-park crew, your team). Whoever’s free taps to come along. No group-chat noise, no pressure: skipping costs nothing.
How do I add people?
No “friending” needed — people you share a circle with show up in your Contacts automatically. To add someone new, search by phone number or show your QR code (“My Code”) for them to scan. There are no public usernames — people go by their display name.
How do circles work?
A circle is a small private group (family, a class, neighbors). Create one and share its invite code, or join with a code someone gives you. A plan you post is only visible to the circle you post it to.
How does location sharing work?
Location is off by default. If you turn it on (Me → Account → Location), it’s used only around live plans you’ve joined, to update your status for that circle (on the way, then arrived). During the activity it can keep updating in the background — the iOS blue indicator stays on the whole time — and stops the moment the activity ends or you leave. We never use your location outside a live plan you joined. Public plans appear on the map at a deliberately fuzzed location; the exact spot is shown only after someone joins.
Report a problem / Safety
If someone or something they posted makes you uncomfortable, report it. In the app, open the person or plan and tap the “…” menu → Report. You can also block someone to remove them from your Contacts.
For an urgent safety issue, email hello@pulseandpurpose.net with “safety” in the subject and we’ll prioritize it. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
Is ComeAlong free?
Yes — ComeAlong is free to use, with no paid subscription and no ads. Posting public plans is free for everyone.
How do I delete my account?
You can request account deletion two ways:
- Me → About → Delete account, or
- Email hello@pulseandpurpose.net from the phone number on your account.
Deleting your account removes your profile, the circles you own, their members, and the plans you’ve posted. This can’t be undone.
